The goal of the Kinard Karnival is to bring community together. Kinard is unique in that it has students from up to 27 different feeder schools. The Karnival is a chance for students and families to come together and celebrate.
Preliminary Service Activity Purpose: To give students a first taste of service and what it entails; to get students out of their element so they can experience something unique and different.
Karnival: It is our first service project in our Global Leadership program. 'We teach our students that leaders should serve first, lead second. As developing leaders, we want to encourage leadership that values service to others - other people, other communities, nations, and our planet. We also believe that students learn leadership best by doing and this service project is an excellent journey into leadership. Students will begin to develop self-awareness around their leadership style, skill-set, and gain confidence.
